Wann man von zu viel putzen bei der Katze spricht und welche Gr\u00fcnde es daf\u00fcr geben kann, erkl\u00e4ren wir dir n\u00e4mlich\u00a0 jetzt.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"warum-putzt-sich-meine-katze-staendig\">Warum putzt sich meine Katze st\u00e4ndig?<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"1-haeufiges-putzen-dient-der-fellpflege\">1. H\u00e4ufiges Putzen dient der Fellpflege<\/h3>\n<p>Katzen nehmen die eigene Fellpflege <strong>sehr ernst<\/strong> und verbringen <strong>t\u00e4glich mehr als drei Stunden<\/strong> mit dem Putzen ihres Fells. Die Fellpflege erf\u00fcllt einige verschiedene Zwecke:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Abk\u00fchlen<\/li>\n<li>Impr\u00e4gnieren<\/li>\n<li>Reinigen<\/li>\n<li>Duftnote erstellen<\/li>\n<li>Spannung abbauen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bei \u00e4lteren Katzen kann dieses Verhalten durchaus abnehmen und manchmal muss man sie dann auch bei der Fellpflege unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"2-durch-haeufiges-putzen-wird-die-durchblutung-angeregt\">2. Durch h\u00e4ufiges Putzen wird die Durchblutung angeregt<\/h3>\n<p>Durch das Ablecken der eigenen Haut wird au\u00dferdem auch die <strong>Durchblutung angeregt<\/strong>. Dadurch werden die Talgdr\u00fcsen der Haut aktiv und diese geben wiederum Fett in das Fell der Katze ab. Damit bleibt das Fell der Katze nicht nur geschmeidig, sondern auch <strong>wasserabweisend<\/strong>, damit Katzen besser vor Feuchtigkeit und K\u00e4lte gesch\u00fctzt sind.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"3-die-katze-putzt-sich-zum-stressabbau\">3. Die Katze putzt sich zum Stressabbau<\/h3>\n<p>Putzen kann f\u00fcr die Katze eine <strong>Ersatzhandlung<\/strong> sein, mit der sie Anspannung abbaut. In <strong>stressigen Situationen<\/strong> kann das Putzen besonders hektisch aussehen. Aber schon nach kurzer Zeit f\u00f6rdert es die Durchblutung und so verringert sich der Stress der Katze.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"4-staendiges-putzen-kann-auf-krankheiten-hindeuten\">4. St\u00e4ndiges Putzen kann auf Krankheiten hindeuten<\/h3>\n<p>Wenn deine Katze sich st\u00e4ndig putzt, kann das auch <strong>auf Krankheiten hindeuten<\/strong>, die sowohl physischer, als auch psychischer Natur sein k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"wie-viel-putzen-lecken-ist-zu-viel\">Wie viel putzen\/lecken ist zu viel?<\/h2>\n<p>Irgendwann ist es tats\u00e4chlich so, dass Katzen sich auch zu viel putzen k\u00f6nnen. Wenn eine Katze sich <strong>mehr als 25 % des Tages<\/strong> mit dem Ablecken ihres K\u00f6rpers besch\u00e4ftigt, spricht man vom sogenannten <strong>\u201eOvergrooming\u201c<\/strong>, also dem \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfigen Putzen. Meist zeigen sich dann auch bereits <strong>kahle Stellen am Fell<\/strong> der Katze. Bei manchen Katzen kann es sogar sein, dass man von der <strong>\u201ePsychogenen Leckalozepie\u201c<\/strong> spricht. Die Katze leckt sich hier so intensiv, dass sie sich die Haare ausrei\u00dft.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"welche-ursachen-hat-es-wenn-die-katze-sich-zu-viel-putzt\">Welche Ursachen hat es, wenn die Katze sich zu viel putzt?<\/h2>\n<p>Doch was sind die Gr\u00fcnde daf\u00fcr, wenn die Katze sich <strong>zu viel putzt<\/strong>? Da gibt es tats\u00e4chlich einige verschiedene Gr\u00fcnde, welche wir kurz beschreiben m\u00f6chten.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Wenn eine Katze sich vermehrt an ein und derselben Stelle ableckt, kann es sein, dass sie <strong>von Parasiten befallen<\/strong> ist. Manche Katzen bei\u00dfen und kratzen sich dann auch an dieser Stelle. Es kann sich dabei sowohl um <a href=\"\/magazin\/katzen\/katzenfloehe\/\">Fl\u00f6he<\/a>, L\u00e4use oder \u00c4hnliches handeln als auch um W\u00fcrmer. Du solltest bei einem Befall mit Parasiten unbedingt einen Tierarzt aufsuchen.<\/li>\n<li>Deine Katze k\u00f6nnte <strong>verletzt<\/strong> sein. Vor allem <a href=\"\/magazin\/katzen\/rund-um-den-freigang\/\">Freig\u00e4nger<\/a> bringen oft Verletzungen von Revierk\u00e4mpfen mit, die aufgrund des Fells <strong>zun\u00e4chst unerkannt<\/strong> bleiben. \u00dcberpr\u00fcfe deine Katze regelm\u00e4\u00dfig, wenn sie von drau\u00dfen zur\u00fcckkommt und suche bei Bedarf einen Tierarzt auf.<\/li>\n<li>Deine Katze k\u00f6nnte eine <strong>Allergie<\/strong> haben oder\u00a0auf Umweltreize allergisch reagieren.<\/li>\n<li>Deine Katze k\u00f6nnte<strong> krank<\/strong> sein. Eine Katze kann zum Beispiel eine <strong>Futtermittelunvertr\u00e4glichkeit<\/strong> haben, dabei kann es sein, dass sie sich nicht nur \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfig putzt, sondern auch <strong>Schwellungen<\/strong> auftreten oder <strong>Durchfall und Erbrechen<\/strong>. \u00dcberm\u00e4\u00dfiges Putzen kann also durchaus auf eine ernst zu nehmende Krankheit hinweisen sowie auch auf Schmerzen. Katzen sind immerhin <strong>Meister darin, Schmerzen zu verstecken<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Doch auch wenn eine Katze <strong>gestresst<\/strong> ist, kann es sein, dass sie <strong>zwanghaftes Putzverhalten<\/strong> zeigt. Denn durch das Anregen der Durchblutung wird auch <strong>Anspannung abgebaut<\/strong> und die Katze versucht so, sich wohler zu f\u00fchlen. Gro\u00dfe Ver\u00e4nderungen k\u00f6nnen der Grund f\u00fcr Stress bei Katzen sein.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"was-kann-man-tun-wenn-die-katze-sich-zu-viel-putzt\">Was kann man tun, wenn die Katze sich zu viel putzt?<\/h2>\n<p>Wenn eine Katze sich zu viel putzt und dabei sogar kahle Stellen auftreten, solltest du unbedingt einen Tierarzt aufsuchen. Wenn sich im Leben der Katze nichts ver\u00e4ndert hat, also kein Artgenosse verloren wurde oder ein <a href=\"\/magazin\/katzen\/umzug-mit-katze\/\">Umzug<\/a> oder \u00c4hnliches stattgefunden hat, kann man Stress oft zun\u00e4chst ausschlie\u00dfen. Doch bei Schmerzen wird es bei Katzen in aller Regel schon schwieriger.<\/p>\n<p>Dein Tierarzt wird sich leichter tun deiner Katze zu helfen, wenn du eine Art <strong>Tagebuch<\/strong> f\u00fchrst.
